Another dream – The Assembled Image – Hamar
The figure stumbles silently around the town of Hamar on market day. His manner of dress, the numerous masks which hang around his neck and his stumbling gait suggest an otherworldy presence. He has just slipped in from some other plane; the raucous party, the secret society meeting, the kidnapped dandy, all that matters is his disassociation as he makes slow progress through the town. Gradually he places the masks against his face one at a time, assuming each new personality in some ceremonial possession of psychic forms. Finally he sits, in the centre of the market square, watching in all directions at once as the crowd disperses.
