Jack Catling is an artist mainly working through performance and film. His practice examines the positioning of language and signs, and the moment when, lost in thought or daydreaming, something external enters the inner space; a sneeze, a cat's miaow, and things lose their fixed positions. Catling is interested in examining the vestiges of these moments, where signs become locked into memory under new configurations of meaning and myth for no other reason than a momental coincidence... Jack Catling is also a founding member of the performance group: The Parlour Collective.
