Forest Scene

Forest Scene

An improvised performance for film in a forest environment, where several individual performances independently developed a kind of unconscious overlap with both each other, and the forest itself. Initially envisaged as a 5 minute work, the artists unknowingly were performing for over 45 minutes. This led to the emergence of strange narratives, overlaps and moments emerging between performance actions, visual cues (such as the vertical fragmented view between tree trunks, and shadows of leaves), and auditory cues (such as the continuous rustle of branches) present within the landscape.
